“Kona Reef checks all the boxes: oceanfront, 5 minute walk to town, beautifully tiled heated pool and hot tub oceanside, convenient cabana with stainless steel gas grills, shower, bathroom. This unit offers practically the closest oceanfront views you can get without being in the surf! Hearing those waves crash is so soothing and watching that sun slip into the ocean every evening was breathtaking. It’s obvious the owners takes great care and pride in this unit with the carefully thought-out Hawaiian decor and comfortable furniture. Beautiful kitchen complete with every small appliance and item you could ever want…even an espresso machine! An added bonus was the welcome amenities they shared: coffee, macnut chocolates, bathroom toiletries, even toothpaste. There’s plenty of beach items to use: boogy boards, chairs, cooler, even hand weights for that home workout. No detail was forgotten. They even provided antiseptic wipes and latex gloves for peace of mind. We can hardly wait to return. “

“We really enjoyed Ailin’s place very much. It is beautiful and very clean. It offers amazing sunsets and the sound of waves, which was exactly what we were looking for. Ailin was available to answer questions/concerns, which was nice, but we didn’t have any. Check in is a breeze with a code for entry. There are local tips for visitors and snorkeling and beach gear, which is a very nice touch. We would recommend it to others.”

“Can’t recommend enough! We stayed for five nights for our “babymoon” and it was perfect. The condo is right on the water with spectacular sunset and sunrise views. We enjoyed watching the surfers from the patio while having coffee in the mornings. The condo is also just a short walk to a selection of bars and restaurants in downtown Kona. Ailin makes the logistics easy with checking in, checking out, and parking. She also has a wonderful book of recommendations for dining, beaches, and tips for experiencing the island like a local.
